Where to Look for Online Dating sites

Let’s say that you have a friend and her name is Jen. Jen calls you up one night “I just had the best date! I met this guy through an Online Dating service. You should try it!” Ok, so she got your attention, now how do you go about finding one of these so called “Online Dating services”?

Searching for an Online dating site is your best bet, as you can use a search engine such as Google to find one that suits your needs best. Personally, I reccomend a handful of online dating sites, these being; Match, Yahoo! Personals, Ok Cupid, Love Compass, Plenty of Fish, Eharmony, and American Singles. Those are all great Online Dating sites, and should provide the services that you are looking for.

Now, I think I should exercise a little caution in this area. The sites that I have listed above, are all good sites. Just make sure you find the dating site that you are looking for. There are some out there, that are more “Exhibitionists” and other people that are into the sex part of a relationship. If that is what you are looking for, then by all means go for it but the sites I listed are for general dating/meeting new people. So, if you happen to go to a site that isn’t necessarily for dating, make sure you know what it is before joining. Also, try to go with a Dating Site that is respectable, I don’t know of any “Bad” Online Dating sites, but you never know with the world of the Internet.

Just some tips for your to think about when looking for an online dating site.

Decide what you want from the site, whether it be love or just fun dating.

Find out exactly what the cost's of the services are, some are free to use to post profiles, but most require a monthly payment in order to access the full potential of the site.

Try out more than one site, or browse around multiple sites and do a personal review. Does the site have good features? Are the users friendly? Is it a website you would use?
